************************************************

Bactris gasipaes (Peach palm) of the Benjamin Constant landrace (a spineless productive variety) with ornamental value. This is a collector's palm and not commonly found.  Though a tropical palm, it has been grown in coastal Southern California.  It  has a fruit resembling a peach in appearance (said to be edible by some) but primarily used for production of heart of palm.  We offer a variety that is nearly completely spineless.  This variety is also notable for it's ability to sucker, producing a cluster of plants (as seen in the picture).  These palms are vigorous and fairly rapid in growth (as palms grow).  Small plants available at the nursery.

Clinostigma ponapense:  Beautiful blue trunks, tropical and fast growing.  These trees are 8 years old from seed and bearing already.  Seeds available.

Pritchardia pacifica:  Seedlings in 2 1/4" pots, well established, mother tree shown below

           Boston Ferns

Our large Boston ferns are potted in a 8" pot with an attached saucer to keep the plant moist.  The ferns are a lush deep green color, and are maintained by watering the plant directly into the pot, and NOT misting.  Our ferns are available at the nursery or Farmer's Markets for $16.50 + tax

          Anthuriums & Ti leaves

Anthuriums and Ti leaves are arranged to make colorful and long lasting fresh flower bouquets with an authentic tropical flair.  Anthuriums bloom year round, and are available in various colors (red, pink, green, purple white) and sizes (from 2" flowers, to 6").

          Plumerias...

Available NOW!!

Bloom from almost the beginning of spring (April) to the beginning of Fall (November).  When the plant loses all of its flowers and leaves, it goes dormant in the winter.   Be sure to take the plant inside if there are extremely cold or freezing temperatures.   Minimal water is necessary while it is dormant.  When the weather begins to warm up again, (60F) put it back outside where it will receive morning or afternoon sunlight, and water twice a week and fertilize once a week with a water soluble solution, (such as Miracle Grow).  The leaves and flowers will then grow back where they had previously grown.  ENJOY!!!
